Meet Billy Franse, Project Manager and Employee of the Quarter, who has been a cornerstone of KION North America for nearly four years. His journey has seen him make significant contributions across various teams, from Aftermarket to Engineering. With a knack for finding solutions and a passion for teamwork, he truly embodies the collaborative spirit of KION NA. In this interview, he opens up about what drives him, the importance of integrity, and what it means to be a great teammate. 

First, how long have you been at KION NA?  

It will be four years this May. 

In the length of time you have been at KION NA, what accomplishment makes you most proud? 

I’ve moved across our Aftermarket, Sales, Product Management, and Engineering teams. 

I think that I’ve had a positive influence during my times with those teams.

What motivates you?  

Making a difference. Whether it’s taking a deep dive in a process or taking a few minutes to listen as a sounding board, I look for ways to help others be successful.

What do you think makes an employee stand out in an organization?

Those that find a way to say “yes” to support others in challenging circumstances. 

What do you think it takes to be an exceptional teammate?  

Taking ownership beyond the moment and complete follow through. 

What is it about the culture at KION NA that makes you excel in your position?
