For Yvonne Duffy, a Project Manager and Advanced Manufacturing Engineer at KION North America, those qualities have not only fueled her work but also earned her the recognition of Employee of the Quarter. In this interview, Yvonne shares what motivates her, the accomplishments she's most proud of, and what she looks forward to as KION NA continues to grow. First, how long have you been at KION NA?  

Three years and one month (I started on 3/14/2022).

What does winning Employee of the Quarter mean to you?

Winning Employee of the Quarter is truly an honor, and I’m deeply grateful for the recognition. I'm especially thankful to my colleagues who nominated and voted for me—it means a great deal to know that my efforts are seen and appreciated by the people I work alongside every day.

In the length of time you have been at KION NA, what accomplishment makes you most proud? 

Launching our new mast manufacturing processes at Plant 3. We are now coming up on our 1-year anniversary since starting production at Plant 3.

Integrity – trust is the foundation of effective teamwork.

What motivates you? 

I thrive on collaborating with my local and global KION colleagues, whether we are setting up a new KION plant, implementing new manufacturing technology, or developing new systems. Seeing tangible results keeps me motivated!

Looking to the future, what are you most excited about?

I am excited for the opportunities to manufacture/assemble more Linde products in the U.S.A.
